The project was made as a preliminary design in accordance with the construction tender. The project is of great importance as it is Ankara’s first ring rail line.

 

The design studies of the line built by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality were carried out with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) system. Prota undertook the preparation of feasibility, preliminary, final, construction and detail projects in all disciplines. The line is aimed to be put into service in 2029.

 

The design services provided by Prota within the scope of the project are summarized below:

  • Topographical and geological site surveys
  • Preparation of design handbooks
  • Transportation studies and analysis
  • Alignment, rail and track design
  • TBM, NATM and cut-and-cover tunnel

  • Fire projects (station and tunnel fire detection and fighting, gas-water extinguishing, smoke removal and escape route pressurization)
  • Electrical Projects (3rd rail, power installation, low voltage, MV system, lighting, socket, UPS, routing and grounding system projects)
  • Power supply, traction transformers and ring system
  • Communication design (KDTV, announcement, passenger information, emergency call, clock, radio system, driver platform monitoring, entrance security, line-wide radio system, tunnel radio and fiber optic cabling)
