A gas piston thermal power plant with a capacity of 220 MW was built by the Turkish company Cengiz Enerji in the Khavast district. According to the ministry, construction and installation of equipment have already been completed at the facility.

 

Adjustment and commissioning works are currently underway, as well as preparations for connecting the power plant to the general power grid. The launch tests of the first gas-piston apparatus of the power plant were carried out.

 

The TPP will start supplying energy to the power grid approximately from 2025 October. It can produce 1.7 billion kWh per year.
