Malatya Maternity and Children State Hospital

Malatya Maternity and Children State Hospital is comprised of two main blocks. The blocks are designed in rectangular form. Building loads with respect to the use of purpose are applied by considering the architectural design constraints. Building system is therefore selected as without beam slab. Slab thicknesses are anticipated as 35 cm.

Total of 246 numbers of seismic isolators are used in the building. These isolators are placed on the columns ascending from foundation. Isolators are placed in the double raft foundation slab under the basement.

Specific design earthquake spectrum of Design Basis Earthquake (DBE) with 475 years of return period and 10 % probability of exceedance in 50 years is used for the section designs, and spectrum of Maximum Credible Earthquake (MCE) is used for the determination of lateral displacement limits of the isolators.

Within the scope of the project seismic design, structural design and detailing, technical specification preparation, BoQ preparation services were given.
