Seismic Retrofitting Park Plaza Building

The objective of the design services is to conduct vulnerability assessments and prepare preliminary and structural pre-retrofitting designs for Park Plaza building located in İstanbul.

The following works were carried out within the scope of the project:

• Geological site studies and determination of ground conditions
• Structural assessment and preparation of drawings of existing system
• Structural seismic analysis of existing system
• Identifying structural system weaknesses
• Concrete and reinforcement sampling and strength tests
• Detection of existing reinforcement combinations of structural elements with non-destructive methods
• Evaluation of the current structural situation and reporting
• Recommendation determining the retrofitting method
