Republic of Turkey, General Directorate of State Airports Authority – Consultancy Services for the Design of Adnan Menderes Airport Annex Building

Having a construction area of 75,000 sq. m., building has been divided into five blocks and has four storeys. Design services include structural detailed designs and preparation of bill of quantities and completed in 1989.

Tarsus Municipality – Consultancy Services for the Design of Atatürk Street Railway Pass (Bridge)- World Bank funded

METROPLAN-PROTA joint venture has won a contract of the project, for which a World Bank loan is provided. The bridge has been designed with cast in place reinforced concrete columns, supported by beams that place on the precast beams. Foundation system was piling system. The 400 m long bridge design and related works had been performed in 1990 and the services include technical and financial feasibility reports, planning of junction and preparation of expropriation plans, traffic plans, bill of quantities, environmental planning, infrastructural designs, displacements of existing infrastructures, geotechnical investigations and topographical survey in addition to bridge structural designs. Tender documents and technical specifications wre also prepared by our joint venture.

İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality-Yüksel Proje Int. Inc., İstanbul Metro (subway), Consultancy Services for the Design of Concourse Structures in Taksim Metro Station

Detailed design services for concourse structures under the Taksim Square and the Cumhuriyet Boulevard including reinforced concrete and precast steel application designs and drawings, bracing and drainage systems, dynamic and static analyses and soil upgrading studies. All application detailed drawings prepared and project has been completed in 1993.

İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality-Yüksel Proje Int. Inc, İstanbul Metro (subway), Consultancy Services for the Design of Concourse Structures in Şişli Metro Station

Detailed design services for concourse structure of Şişli Station including reinforced concrete and application designs and drawings, bracing and drainage systems, dynamic and static analyses and soil upgrading studies. All application detailed drawings prepared and project has been completed in 1995.

İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality-Yüksel Proje Int. Inc., Gebze-Haydarpaşa, Sirkeci -Halkalı Commuter Railway System Design of Stations on the Trackway

Detailed design services for 28 number of stations on the trackway including reinforced concrete, precast and steel application drawings, design of retaining structures, soil upgrading, pedestrian and car passes, drainage and bracing systems, preparation of cost estimates and bill of quantities.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality- Consultancy Services for the Design of Intercity Bus Terminal

Being the biggest bus station in Turkey, the large spans are designed as one and two way ribbed slab systems and precast beams. The total area of the complex is 100,000 sq.m. Project services have been carried out in 1997-98. Reinforced concrete overpasses and tunnels are analyzed using finite elements modeling. Design services include design of precast beams and slab systems, static and dynamic Response Spectrum Analyses, preparation of steel and concrete details and shop drawings, Bill of Quantities, preparation of tender documents, design of reinforced concrete overpasses, design of peripheral roads and facilities.

Marmaray Commuter Rail Project (CR1 Contract)

Consultancy Services for the Design of Marmaray Commuter Rail System Project including basic and detailed designs for the alignment and infrastructure systems, bridges and other structures and specific design of 36 station structures. Our services basically include the basic and detailed designs (architectural and structural) of 36 commuter rail stations, preparation of quality plans and construction methodologies etc. Design services are planned to be completed by the end of 2009. The total length of track is 67.1 km.

Consultancy Services for the Design of Kadıköy-Kartal Metro Completion of Construction and Electro-Mechanical Systems Supply, Installation and Commissioning Works

The longest underground metro system in Turkey. Consultancy services for the design (basic, detailed and as-built) of alignment (trackway), cut and tunnel systems, geotechnical investigations and reporting, architectural and structural design of 16 station structures (all are underground) , infrastructure, drainage and retaining wall designs, fire fighting and protection, emergency exit and air-conditioning simulation systems, mechanical system design, electrical system design, fire alarm systems, control and communication system designs, noise control and acoustic simulation, landscape design, road diversionas and relocation of infrastructures, etc. Total of the track length is 21.7 kms. Design services are planned to be completed by the end of 2011.

Consultancy Services for the Design of Underground Line II from "DasWarsaw Metro Line II from Daszynskiego Roundabout Station" to the "Wilenski Railway Station"

The project will involve the construction of some 6 km of new underground railway between Rondo Daszynskiego in the city centre to Dworzec Wilenski in the northeast suburbs, on the other side of the River Wisla. The scheme will include seven stations. Completion of Warsaw's Line 2 construction is expected in 2013.

Metro Line II is the long-awaited investment in the expansion of high-capacity public transport in Warsaw, which is expected to ease traffic congestion in the city, lower the overall carbon footprint of the urban transport sector, and create crucial linkages with the first metro line by allowing users to transfer efficiently from the east side of Vistula River to the west side of the city.

Our design services include building permit and detailed and as-built designs of cut and cover tunnel systems, geotechnical assessments and design and reporting, architectural and structural design of seven station structures (all are underground), infrastructure, drainage and retaining wall designs, fire fighting and protection, emergency exit and air-conditioning simulation systems, mechanical system design, electrical system design, fire alarm systems, control and communication system designs, noise control and acoustic simulation, landscape design, road diversionas and relocation of infrastructures, etc. Design services are planned to be completed by the end of 2011.

Consultancy Services for the Seismic Design Proof and Construction Supervision of Sabiha Gökçen New International Terminal and Multi Storey Car Park

Client: Limak Construction Inc. – GMR Infrastucture Overseas S.L. Joint Venture

The project will involve the construction of Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal Building and its Complementary via Build-Operate-Transfer Model" which includes the construction of all infrastructure and superstructures, their connections to the main systems within the framework of the implementation and detail projects to be prepared in accordance with the preliminary project with 1/200 scale annexed to the Tender Specification.

Our design services include provision of seismic safety "Triple Pendulum Seismic Isolation System, checking the applied design loads, assessment of structural model, checking the analysis results via an independent computer modeling, checking the reinforcement design and design drawings, preparation of design review report for Car Park Structure; review of structural design criteria, structural system selection, structural modeling and calculations, generation of site specific earthquake ground motions, review of seismic design of isolations system, checking the buried concrete base structure design, preparation of design review report for Terminal Building, geotechnical and geophysical designs, consultancy services for preparation of technical specifications and selection of seismic isolator system, inspecting prototype tests, and infrastructural design of flyover bridges and underground, etc. Our supervision services include provision of expert staff for the duration of the construction works, on-site inspection of the construction works to ensure compliance with related technical specifications and drawings, work in close coordination with the other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical and electrical designers as necessary, technical controlling of all structural works in the scope of design, consultancy related with this Project, controlling the full compliance of materials, equipments, tools and systems etc. to be used for the structural works with the contracts, technical specifications, projects and submission of the weekly reports accordingly, to the Contractor, reviewing the approval forms of above materials before the submission to the Client and reviewing and controlling of such material specifications, ensuring quick and efficient data and documents transmission between the Site office and Engineer's main office, ensuring the distribution of most recently updated structural drawings and removal of outdated structural design documents, provisional acceptance, review and check structural as built projects submitted by the Contractor.

Design and construction supervision services started in 2008 and completed at the end of 2009.
